 1. want to do sth → be long for/to do sth 等

 我們在表達「想要做某事」時,除了用I want to之外,還可以用:

 ·be long for/to do sth

 ·I hope/wish/expect that…

 ·I am hoping that…

 ·Hopefully, I would/could…

 · I expect that…

 I’m long for a big house.

 我想要一個大房子。

 2. try one's best → spare no efforts to do

 I'll spare no efforts to (try my best to) do a good job on my post.

 我將在我的崗位不遺余力把工作做好。

 3. 形容詞 → be of + 名詞

 我們可以用 be of + 名詞的形式來替換形容詞,這樣要比直接用形容詞更高級。

 It is of great importance to me. (It is important to me.)

 4. good → excellent等

 good 是用途最廣泛的形容詞之一,只要是表示「好」就可以用 good 來形容。但是除了 good 之外,還可以用以下詞匯表示「好」:

 20. be made up of → consist of
